Garmin 1350 GPS touchscreen calibration

Over the past a few months, my Garmin 1350's touch screen was off to the right by about a quarter inch.  This is very annoying especially when trying to push a small button such as the traffic.  I know, I know that I shouldn't be operating the GPS while driving but...

Anyway, after I can't stand it, a quick Google search yielded the following solution from Fixya:
Turn on the GPS while using one finger to hold the top left corner.  You need to let go of the power button once Garmin's log shows up but keep holding it for over a minute till the touchscreen calibration tool shows up.

Then like playing an old Gameboy, you had to keep hitting the moving target A LOT OF times to calibrated.  I assume it runs till a certain number of consecutive hits are on target?  For me, it's over 5 minutes and at a point, I though the program hung or playing me.

The good news is that it worked in the end.
