Katrina, Tsunami, and the poor
This afternoon when I was driving, heard Ken Bader speaks with the BBC's Sabir Mustafa on KPCC comparing New Orleans to Bangladesh. He made a shocking statement:
wherever it is, it's always the poor who suffers.
Well, is this news? Not really. It's something that we didn't realize that even in America, the richest and most powerful nation in the world, things can still get so nasty. The worst part is that it's actually some times got worse than Bangladesh.
